A joint research proposal on Brown Coal Mining Technology is put forward recently by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Protection, Belarus, after the Ministry conducted a survey on the brown coal mines. The specific proposal goes as:

1. Utilize brown coal as solid fuel.
2. Acquire liquid and gas sources of energy from brown coal.
3. Utilization of brown coal for other usages besides heating.

Belarus side is willing to discuss details of cooperation with Chinese institutes or companies that are interested in the proposal. Potential partners are encouraged to contact China Science and Technology Exchange Center for more information.
